Epi Plage

“Hospitality has become generic and standardardised at every level. EPI was, and still is real, imperfect and human. It has a soul and a culture that makes it truly unique, thus something we can all associate with.”

Monica Damonte has modernised the hotel while remaining faithful to its sixties spirit, not succumbing to the temptation of large, flashy resorts. There are ten cabin-style bedrooms with rattan furniture, coloured windows and floral vintage fabrics, while landscape gardener Madison Cox – known for the Majorelle gardens in Marrakech (he is the widower of Pierre Bergé, Yves Saint Laurent’s former partner) – has reinvented the gardens in a Provençal-style spirit with olive trees, canolas, and lavender.
