Almost every piece of furniture in the house was designed by Monica, such as the kitchen, outdoor tables, and the second kitchen and fireplace in the living room. The modern kitchen, which is completely luxurious in black, is now bright thanks to the unique copper pendant lamp from Baxter. Many items are designed by Tom Dixon, the British designer that Monica greatly admires. The kitchen chairs and stools are his work. The kitchen is simply furnished, with the highlights of wood and a slight glitter from the items helping to retain the warmth, balancing the "deep" feeling that black brings.
In the living room there is a corner window overlooking the garden with Eames black leather recliner.
The house was renovated a few years ago, adding an upstairs bedroom for guests. The guiding ideas help Monica create a gentle and extremely elegant living space. “I wanted to create the feeling of warm hugs,” she emphasised.
Fornasetti's unique items are scattered everywhere in the house and the fun and creative character they bring fits strangely within the overall space of the house.
